Microwave Hazelnut and Honey Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 g or 6 oz margarine
  • 100 g or 4 oz dark soft brown sugar
  • 50 g or 2 oz clear honey
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 225 g or 8 oz self-raising flour
  • 100 g or 4 oz hazelnuts, finely chopped
  • 4 x 15 ml or 4 tbsp milk 

Microwave Hazelnut and Honey Cake Method:

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the margarine, soft brown sugar, and honey, until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs, beating well after each addition. Stir in the hazelnuts.
Fold in the flour and mix to a soft consistency with the milk. 

Tip into the prepared dish and cook on MEDIUM for 7-8 minutes. Cool in the dish for 5 minutes before turning out. Decorate with buttercream. 

Makes 8-10 slices.

Power: MEDIUM

Cooking time: 7-8 mins.

Dish : 20 cm ( 8 " ) souffle dish
