Prime cuts of meat roast well in the microwave oven. Remember that meat cooks very quickly and can have a chewy texture.
Some of the cuts which require slower cooking should be either marinated in an oil/vinegar/wine for 2-3 hours prior to cooking or cooked in a tightly sealed dish with some stock and diced mixed vegetables.
Prime cuts should be roasted on no more than a medium setting ( 480 W). Tougher cuts should be roasted on low ( 360 W ).
Step by Step How to Roast a Tender Cut by Timer:
Cover the meat - roaster bags can be used for cooking over time. Split the side and place it over the roast like a tent.
Cook on MEDIUM for the calculated time. At the end of cooking, wrap the meat in foil ( shiny side in ) and leave it to stand for 15–20 minutes.
To Roast Meat on Auto Weight:
Advice:
Turn large pieces after half the cooking time. Shield any thin areas that are overcooking. Continue to cook. At the end of cooking, wrap meat in foil ( shiny side in ) and leave to stand for 15-20 minutes.
If the meat has not reached the desired result, continue to cook on the same power for a few minutes longer, until the result is achieved. This is important if the meat has been defrosted in the microwave oven as it ensures the meat is cooked as you like it, rather than for an approximate time.
All fridges and freezers vary in temperature, the colder the initial temperature the longer the meat takes to heat up.
