Auto Weight Defrosting In Microwave

This setting will automatically calculate defrost times for the different food categories. Weights can be set in kilos or pounds and ounces. In most microwaves defrost time will be split into three sections. After each third of defrosting time two " bleeps " will be heard. At this point, food should be turned, shielded, or broken. Foods defrosted on these settings should have been frozen for at least 48 hours at -18 ° C. Where possible remove food items from their original wrapper. Place joints of meat and poultry on a low rack in a shallow dish. Turn and shield after each set of " bleeps ". If food is frozen in a block, try to separate it as soon as possible. Diced and minced meat should be broken up and stirred after each " bleep ".

DICED OR MINCED MEATS, CHOPS ETC.

Shield any thin area with small pieces of foil, secured with wooden cocktail sticks. Diced and minced meats need to be broken up and stirred. Remove any defrosted parts at each set of " Bleeps ".
