SMOKED EEL AND CHIVE SPREAD
INGREDIENTS
Make the spread the day before for the best flavor
- 90g butter
- 185g smoked eel
- 300 g carton of sour cream
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives
SMOKED EEL AND CHIVE SPREAD RECIPE :
Combine butter and skinned boned eel in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth Add sour cream. mayonnaise lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce, beat well Push through sieve Stir in half the chives Spread on rounds of buttered pumpernickel or rye bread or serve with crackers Sprinkle with remaining chives.
