Microwave Pears in Chocolate Sauce
INGREDIENTS
- 4 even sized pears
- 150 ml or 1/4 pint water
- 100 g or 4 oz sugar
- piece of lemon
- for the sauce :
- 4 x 15 ml or 4 tbsps syrup
- 100 g or 4 oz chocolate
Microwave Pears in Chocolate Sauce Method:
Dissolve the sugar in the water and heat on HIGH for 3-4 minutes. Peel the pears and carefully core them from the flower end. Put them into the syrup with the lemon. Cover and cook on MEDIUM for 12-15 minutes until tender. Cool in the syrup.
For the sauce: Break the chocolate into a basin and add the syrup. Heat on HIGH for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce should cover the back of a spoon. Drain the pears and arrange them in a serving dish. Pour over the sauce. Chill or serve immediately.
