Microwave Nut Surprise
INGREDIENTS
- 100 g or 4oz chocolate
- 75 g or 3oz margarine
- 75 g or 3oz demerara sugar
- 25 g or 1oz golden syrup
- 150 g or 6oz mixed chopped nuts
- 1 egg yolk
- 2-3 drops of vanilla essence
- 25 g or 1oz flour
MICROWAVE NUT SURPRISE METHOD:
Line the dish with greaseproof paper. Melt the chocolate on HIGH for 1-1½ minutes, and spread over the base of the lined dish. Press over the top of the chocolate and cook on HIGH for 4-4 minutes.
Cream together the margarine, sugar, and syrup. Add the nuts. Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla essence and add the flour. Cool in the dish then cut into fingers. Remove from the dish when completely cold.

Makes 12-16 slices
Cooking time: 5-6 mins.
