Microwave Cassoulet
INGREDIENTS
- 225 g or 8 oz dried haricot beans
- 1 x 15 or 1 tbsp ml oil
- 450 g or 1 lb belly of Lamb, cut into ( 1/2 " ) cubes
- I onion, chopped
- 2 x 396 g or 2 x 14 oz cans tomatoes
- 4 x 15 ml or 4 tbsp tomato purée
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed chopped
- 1x 5 ml or 1 tsp dried sage
- salt and pepper
Microwave Cassoulet Method:
Place the beans in a casserole dish. Cover the beans with hot water and add the il. Cover the dish with cling film or the lid and cook on HIGH for 20 minutes leave to soak for 2 hours. Drain. Combine with the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW for 50 minutes.
Power: HIGH - LOW
Serves 4
Cooking time: 70 mins. + 2 hrs . soak
Dish : 3 liters ( 6pt ) casserole
