Microwave Using Browning Dish

The browning dish is the microwave equivalent of a frying pan, therefore do not use it for roasting meat in the results will be tough, or for casseroling , as the turntable could shatter as the heat from the dish is intense. Only foods such as chops, steaks, sausages, beef burgers, and other items you would usually fry or grill should be cooked in here.

The browning dish can be used to shallow fry small pieces of food in breadcrumbs or batter. Preheat the dish on HIGH for 4 minutes, and add oil to a depth of 6 mm ( 1/4 inch ) max. Heat for 1-2 minutes. Add the food and cook uncovered for 2-4 minutes per side, judging from the degree of browning. Turn food over halfway through cooking.
