Microwave Roasting Whole Poultry by Time Or Auto Sensor

Place chicken on a trivet in a shallow dish or on an upturned saucer in a shallow dish. Cut off the ends of the legs to the joint. Truss with string. Brush with oil, sprinkle with browning seasoning, or melt 1 x 15 ml ( 1 tbsp ) margarine, mix in some paprika or browning seasoning, and paint onto the chick.

To cook by time only, the chicken can be tented by a roasting bag split up one side

To cook by Auto Sensor. Either use the Wave ware 3-piece roasting set and cover using the dome ensuring that this is clear of the chicken - otherwise it will lift during cooking and cause underdone results. The Wave ware set can also be used for manual cooking.

Or use a ceramic dish and upturned saucer and completely cover the chicken, sealing the cling film well down the sides and under the base. If two pieces of cling film are required allow them to overlap along the center by at least 2.5 cm ( 1 " ). DO NOT PIERCE THE CLING FILM

It may be necessary to shield the legs, wings, and breast bone during cooking to prevent overcooking. If you are cooking on Auto, shield with foil after the time has been displayed in the window

At the end of cooking, let stand covered or tented in foil shiny side in for 15-20 minutes.
