Microwave French Onion Soup
INGREDIENTS
- 225 g onions
- 50 g butter
- 1 x 15 ml flour
- I liter hot beef stock
- salt and black pepper
- bay leaf
To serve:
- 25 g French bread, lightly toasted
- grated cheese
Microwave French Onion Soup Recipe:
Peel onions and slice into rings. Put onions and
butter in a large casserole dish, cover with a lid, and cook on HIGH for 5-7 minutes. Stir
in the flour. Gradually add the hot stock stirring well. Season and add the bay
leaf. Re-cover and cook on HIGH for 10-12 minutes.
Remove the bay leaf. Float a piece of
French bread on the top of each serving. sprinkle with cheese and reheat 4 at a
time for 1 minute.
