QUICK TOMATO SAUCE WITH MUTTON AND BASIL
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 125g thinly sliced mutton
- 410g can tomatoes
- 300g can Tomato Supreme
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 250g penne pasta
QUICK TOMATO SAUCE WITH MUTTON AND BASIL METHOD:
Heat oil in a pan, add onion and mutton, and cook, stirring, until the onion is soft. Stir in undrained crushed tomatoes, Tomato Supreme, basil, and sugar. Bring to a boil, simmer, uncovered, for about 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
Add pasta to a large pan of boiling water, boil, uncovered, until just tender; drain. Combine pasta with sauce.
Serves 4.
Note: The recipe is best
made just before serving.
Freeze: Not
suitable.
Microwave: Pasta
