Microwave Strawberry Gateau Mille Feuilles
INGREDIENTS
- 375 g or 13. oz packet of frozen puff
pastry
- 300 ml or ½ / 2 pl double cream, whipped
- 350 g or 12 oz strawberries
- . 2 x 15 ml or 2 tbsp strawberry jam
Microwave Strawberry Gateau Mille Feuilles Method:
Defrost pastry for I minute on HIGH. Leave to stand for 10 minutes. Divide pastry into thirds. Roll out each to a 20 cm x 10 cm
( 8 " x 4 " ) oblong. Prick all over with a fork.
Cook individually
on a piece of greaseproof paper for 3 minutes each.
Each piece should be crisp. Leave to cool. When cool trim to the same size. Cut 175 g ( 6 oz ) of the strawberries in half and reserve them for decoration. Chop the remainder and combine it with the cream.
Layer the pastry and cream together and put on a serving
plate. Arrange reserved strawberries on top. Heat the jam with 15 ml ( 1 tbsp
) water on HIGH for I minute, stir well and with a pastry brush, brush over
the top of the strawberries.
Chill well before serving.
