Microwave Bread Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • I small piece of onion
  • 4 peppercorns
  • pinch nutmeg
  • 1/2 small bay leaf
  • 300 ml  or 1/2 pl milk
  • 50g or 2 oz breadcrumbs
  • 25 g or 1 oz butter
  • seasoning to taste 

Microwave Bread Sauce Method:

Strain the milk liquor over the breadcrumbs and butter. Mix well. Cook for 2 minutes, stir, and season to taste Put onion, peppercorns, nutmeg, bay leaf, and milk in a jug.Heat on HIGH for 2½ minutes.Leave to stand for 5 minutes.

Power: HIGH

Cooking time: 5 mins.

Dish: Ilitre ( 2 pt ) jug
