ITALIAN LEMON GELATO
YOU WILL NEED :
- ½ cup lemon juice
- ½ cup castor sugar
- ½ cup sweet or dry white wine
- ½ cup water
- 1 egg white
TALIAN LEMON GELATO RECIPE:
Place sugar, water, and wine in a small pan and stir over low
heat until sugar is dissolved, bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
Stir strained lemon juice into a cooled mixture, and mix well. Pour mixture into a shallow tin, and freeze for approximately 1 hour or until
mixture is just firm.
Remove from the freezer, turn the mixture into a bowl, and beat
until smooth with a fork. Fold in firmly beaten egg white, return to tin, and freeze until firm.
Serves 2, or 4 as a topping for fresh fruit
