ITALIAN FISH MILANESE
YOU WILL NEED:
- 4 fish fillets
- 1 small onion
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ½ cup oil salt, pepper flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon milk packaged dry breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon oil, extra
- 60g ( 2oz ) butter
- 60g ( 2oz ) butter, extra
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
ITALIAN FISH MILANESE RECIPE:
Remove skin from fillets Remove bones. Combine
peeled and finely chopped onion, lemon juice, oil, salt, and pepper on a large
plate, and mix well. Add fillets, and spoon mixture over fillets to coat
thoroughly. Allow fillets to marinate for 1 hour, turning them occasionally.
Remove fillets from the marinade. Coat lightly
with flour. Dip into combined beaten eggs and milk, then into the breadcrumbs,
pressing crumbs on firmly.
Heat extra oil and butter in the large frying
pan. Add fillets, and cook gently on both sides until golden brown; allow
approximately 3 minutes on each side, and drain.
Melt extra butter in a separate pan, and add
crushed garlic. Cook until butter turns light golden brown, add parsley. Pour
browned butter over fillets.
