SPICY CHICKEN STIR - FRY WITH EGG NOODLES
INGREDIENTS
- 250g dried egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 500g chicken thigh fillets
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 small fresh red chili, chopped
- 1 red pepper, chopped
- 3 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
SPICY CHICKEN STIR - FRY WITH EGG NOODLES METHOD:
Add noodles to a pan of boiling water, boil, uncovered, until just tender; drain. Add half the oil to the noodles, and toss gently. Cut chicken into thin strips.
Heat remaining oil in a wok or pan, add garlic, spices, chili, and chicken, stir - fry for about 5 minutes or until chicken is almost tender.
Stir in pepper,
stir - fry 1 minute, stir in noodles, sesame oil, and sauce, and stir until heated.
Serves
4.
Note: Recipe best made close to serving.
Freeze: Not suitable.
Microwave: Noodles are suitable.
